SALADS

Waldorf Jell-O Salad
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange Jell-O
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. diced, unpeeled apple
dash salt
1 c. boiling water
1/4 c. chopped celery
3/4 c. cold water
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Add cold water and lemon juice. Chill until thickened. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a 4-cup mold. Chill until firm.



Watergate Salad
1 small box instant pistachio pudding
1 large (9 oz.) bowl Cool Whip
1 large can crushed pineapple
2 c. miniature marshmallows
2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans

Stir pudding and pineapple together until all pudding is moist. Add Cool Whip, milk and mayonnaise, then pecans and marshmallows. Chill before serving. Freezes beautifully.
